   It is with great honor and privilege that The Bitcoin Foundation embraces
   this opportunity to address the public on the state of current progress,
   obstacles and continuing steps in our mission.

   During the month of October, most of The Bitcoin Foundation activity was
   again centered around implementation and testing of `V'.

0x01] Accomplishments

   [ V ]:

     mod6 completed a first version [99999 K] of V in perl [R.03].  A Quick
     Start Guide and Users Manual are included with the source code.

     In addition, a testing archive was also released [R.04] that contains
     Cucumber [R.05] tests and a testing guide.  Testers are wanted!

   [ Documentation ]:

     Other than the document, ``Creating, Naming And Submitting A Vpatch'',
     updated last month [R.06].  The remaining documents need updating now that
     a first version of V is available.

   [ v0.5.4-TEST2 Testing ]:

     mod6 created a yet-unreleased script to utilize V and ``press'' a
     v0.5.4-TEST2 ``branch'', and build with the rotor.  This script may be
     posted to the mailing list to help would-be testers to build the Reference
     Implementation and test v0.5.4-TEST2 and V at the same time.  Stay tuned.

     Continued testing is needed on v0.5.4-TEST2 as well as some memory
     profiling. Testers wanted! Discuss with mod6 in #bitcoin-assets.

   October marks the first anniversary of The Bitcoin Foundation!
