..::[ The Bitcoin Foundation: STATE OF BITCOIN ADDRESS ]::..

     [ Date: 2016.03.31 ]
     [   Co-Chairs: mod6 [R.01] && ben_vulpes [R.02]    ]

0x00]: Introduction

It is with great honor and privilege that The Bitcoin Foundation embraces
this opportunity to address the public on the state of current progress,
obstacles and continuing steps in our mission.

During the course of March, The Foundation focused efforts surrounding
  releasing mod6's new version of `V' (99994).

0x01]: Accomplishments

From mircea_popescu's [R.03] experience of building the latest `trb' [v054]
plus the addition of an experimental patch [R.04] posted by asciilifeform
[R.05] there was an additional requested change to the behavior of V.

The new functionality is that if the target directory specified for press
output already exists, V will remove it and all of its contents, create the
new directory, and press to the newly created directory.

This change was a single line change, but required mod6 to add an additional
automated test, and do another short testing cycle to ensure correctness
  and that no regressions occurred.

0x010: Automated tests are complete and have been executed on several
different versions of linux for good measure. Total number of
test scenarios now amounts to 55.

0x011: shinohai [R.06] and ben_vulpes conducted a final round of tests of
their own to validate the new requirements. This has been productive,
         and very helpful.

  0x012: mod6's new release of V (99994) has been posted [R.07] to the btc-dev
         Mailing List [R.08].

0x02]: Continuing Steps

With the new version of V now complete. There are many tasks to keep us
   occupied.

Next month, mod6 will spend some time up front organizing project tickets
where needed. This will help to set our short-term and long-term priorities.

   Stay tuned to #trilema.

0x03]: Conclusion

The Bitcoin Foundation would like to bestow our sincerest thanks and
gratitude to the contributors and community for its support and insight.
